Building Bundles of Joy

: A Family Service Event to Bring Warmth to Newborns

By BABY BUNDLES November 19, 2025

Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a heartwarming event that combines festive family fun with the powerful spirit of giving back. Baby Bundles, a Charlotte-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting local newborns and families in financial need, is hosting its first-ever family holiday service event, Building Bundles of Joy, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9-11 a.m. at Myers Park Country Club.

This festive morning is designed to be especially enjoyable for children in kindergarten through second grade, but friends and family of all ages are encouraged to attend. Guests will be treated to a holiday breakfast and a cozy hot cocoa bar, along with kid-friendly activities like cookie decorating, story time with Mrs. Claus, and a special visit from Santa.

The highlight of the event is the opportunity for attendees to earn their very own "Elf Status" by helping assemble essential baby item bundles for families across Charlotte-Mecklenburg. It’s a chance for children and adults alike to engage in a tangible act of service, creating cherished holiday memories while supporting those who need it most.

Holiday attire is encouraged—from cozy seasonal pajamas to cheerful sweaters and festive outfits—to add to the celebratory atmosphere.

Jane Freeman, Executive Director of Baby Bundles, notes that the event perfectly encapsulates the organization’s mission. “Building Bundles of Joy brings together everything we believe in - community, compassion, and the power of families helping families,” Freeman said. “We’re thrilled to create a space where children and adults can celebrate the season while making a tangible difference in the lives of local parents and newborns who need our support.”

Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to the Baby Bundles community, this inaugural event offers a meaningful way to contribute and embrace the magic of giving back.

Tickets are $50 each, and children under two years old are free. To purchase tickets or find more information about Building Bundles of Joy, please visit www.babybundlesnc.org.
